UPDATE:
I have received a link from the game developers to the trailer which I think has a little of my vocal work in there, I'm looking forward to the main release and hope they can get the funding together.

So I did a little bit of voice work that may possibly be put onto a game, which is cool. The game is currently in development and after a call for contributions through the sound design facebook group I am part of, I undertook the recordings and put them forward for the delectation of the creators. Heres to hoping I'm lucky enough to feature. Anyhoo I recorded myself using a Shure SM58 running through my new Focusrite Saffire 6 USB into Cubase exporting a wave file at 96kHz and 24-bit for the final track which ran through a set a various cartoon like expressions. It was fun and good times!

Here's the game developers website:-

Christopher Janney- Sonic Forest

Bournemouth Pier last night was host to the Sonic Forest, a series of around 20 poles with infared sensors at the base that when waved past played various sound effects. It was much fun and seeing lots of other people running from pole to pole to create a vibrant soundscape was brilliant.

Mashups

Nifty little website illustrating, in a lovely graphical way, how a mash-up is put together, using Daft Punk as the artist.

Live game coding

For an insight into behind the scenes of coding a game there is at the moment a game being created for charity. The game is being coded live and also has a video feed of the coders. Its interesting to see how games like this are accomplished and also is being done for a charitable cause. Nice work.
